Single-use toiletries are starting to be a thing of the past, it's time to bring your own when you go on your next trip or staycay.

As the world grapples with environmental challenges, countries like South Korea and Taiwan are taking proactive steps to reduce plastic waste and promote sustainability. In a landmark move, South Korea has banned single-use toiletries in hotels while in Taiwan they are gradually moving towards the same direction but in phases.
This significant shift towards eco-friendly travel practices not only has far-reaching implications for the hospitality industry but also impacts travellers worldwide, prompting them to reconsider their consumption habits and embrace more sustainable alternatives.
How will this impact travellers?
Bad news for those who “collect” hotel toiletries (we see you Aesop and Le Labo hunters) – no longer will mini plastic bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel be readily available in hotel bathrooms. Instead, travellers must adapt to a new norm of bringing their toiletries or utilising refillable options provided by accommodations.
Start bringing your own toiletry kits when travelling
There’s always been a market for travel-size toiletries and there’s no better time to start new habits. From toiletry bags to kits that you can fill with your own choice of soap, we put together a quick guide to bringing your own toiletries.
Ready travel-sized toiletries
If you don’t want the fuss of preparing your own toiletries, there are plenty of travel-sized toiletries on the market already. We rounded up a few worthy ones, from basic kits to full-sized compendiums.
